Lynnfield Real Estate

The charming small town of Lynnfield, with fewer than 12,000 inhabitants at the time of writing, occupies a beautiful location in the North Shore region of Massachusetts. With a rich history going back to the 17th century, the town prospered thanks to being on the old coaching route known as ‘US Route 1’ which aided a population boom following World War II.
Largely residential, Lynnfield is among the more prosperous towns in the region and covers an area of just 10.5 square miles. This area is almost all land, with a very small area being water. The residential areas are complemented by largely agricultural land, with a major employer in the town being the famous H.P Food company. The town is therefore responsible for Baton being famous for its baked beans!
Lynnfield is also known for its excellent schools, including Lynnfield High School which consistently returns among the highest standardized test results in Massachusetts. The town has also provided a number of famous players for the Boston Bruins ice hockey team, including Garnet ‘Ace’ Bailey who lost his life in the 9/11 tragedy. A pleasant and quiet place to live, Lynnfield is within easy reach of Boston and other major towns and cities via major roads that meet close to the town.
